Miraculous Nights in Music History!
“EARTH x HEART LIVE” is a premier live event broadcast to the world by the 38 broadcasting networks of JFN, including TOKYO FM, on Earth Day, April 22nd. In its 26th year, and to commemorate the 45th anniversary of TOKYO FM, we have put together a collaboration with some musicians with a deep connection to TOKYO FM.
The theme of this event is “Sow the seeds for the 100 years future”. Let’s think about what should we do for the next generation. In the concert, a future radio station will appear on stage. This station’s DJ is Takao Osawa. He will navigate the show with poetical scripts.
Directed by Masataka Matsutoya and with technical direction by Rhizomatiks, the artist line-up will feature Motohiro Hata, and JUJU in a first ever collaboration with Yumi Matsutoya, an artist they both sincerely respect.
Motohiro Hata covered the iconic “Banka (Hitori no kisetsu)” by Yumi Arai(Matsutoya) for the B-side to his 6th single “Forever Song” (published 10/8/2008), while JUJU covered Yumi Matsutoya’s “Anniversary” for her 2nd album “Request”.
The live footage will be broadcasted on Wednesday April 22nd, Earth Day, from 19:00 – 21:00 on all 38 JFN radio stations including TOKYO FM. Furthermore, it will be also be broadcasted in selected overseas FM radio stations later.
